A Bright Start for Special Kids
by Sonja Walker
Kids First cares for kids of all ages and all abilities and is proud to announce the introduction of Bright Start - a school readiness program for special kids.
Our service was recently selected to provide specialised support to children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder under the Federal Government's new Helping Children with Autism initiative.
Bright Start is a new program that will be led by a Kids First's multi-disciplinary team of Special Educators, Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists.
This innovative program will help children with autism to prepare for the social, emotional and learning demands of a Kindergarten classroom.
Helping Children With Autism funding can be used for this program.
If you know of a child who would benefit from a 'Bright Start', call Kids First on 9938 5419 for more information
