Leap into Literacy...

comprehensively supports primary schoolers who need help to improve their reading, comprehension and writing. In this confidence building weekly program, your child will receive the personal guidance of one of Kids First's qualified and encouraging teachers, all of whom know how to make lessons interesting and enjoyable. Leap into Literacy will support your child's spelling, creative writing, grammar and expressive skills. This stress free small group program provides a sound foundation for better understanding and improved results in class and homework.

Write On! Creative Writing Workshops...

focuses on teaching primary school children in Years 4, 5 and 6 how to write imaginatively and correctly while developing good planning, drafting and editing skills. This innovative program is terrific for kids who are already good spellers and readers, but who lack creative writing confidence. It also benefits students who are reluctant writers and need some help to get their ideas onto the page.

Radical Readers...

offers confidence building support to early, emergent and reluctant oral readers in Years One and Two. This unique program is offered by Kids First's patient, professional Speech Pathologists, who are also university educated literacy specialists. They will encourage your child to develop fluent oral reading, literacy and comprehension skills, forming a strong foundation for their future learning.  As Radical Readers is a speech therapy service, your child may be eligible for rebates if your private health fund covers speech therapy. Spelling FUN-damentals

offers focused support to children in Years 3-6 who need specific help with spelling. This innovative weekly program is offered by Kids FIrst's experienced Speech Pathologists, who are experts in helping kids to hear, remember and record the sounds that form words. Featuring enjoyable and engaging strategies, Spelling FUN-damentals gives children confidence building support that will assist their writing and general academic performance.
