Kids First is proud to offer the services of our resident children's therapy and health practitioners who offer professional children's services on-site at our centre. Our professional associates are all highly qualified practitioners who can formally assess and support your child. They are also accredited by the Australian Government to provide specialised support to chidlren with additional needs, such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Hearing and Sight Impairment, Fragile X Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. Educational Psychology
Personalised programs to assist children with learning, behavioural and social challenges are offered on a one-to-one basis by Kids First's experienced Educational and Developmental Psychologists. Kids First's comprehensive psychological services include formal diagnostic assessments, identification of Specific Learning Difficulties and Giftedness, as well as reporting and support strategies for home and school.
Occupational Therapy
Paediatric Occupational Therapy focusing on a range of needs is offered from Kids First's specialists in Sensory Integration, Visual Perception and Motor Coordination. Children requiring assistance with fine and gross motor skills as well as sensory processing are all catered for, as are children with special needs. Individual and group programs are offered for chidlren aged 3-15.
Speech Pathology
Expert children's speech therapy is available for children with speech, language, literacy and other communication difficulties. Early Intervention is crucial to children's communication success, and Kids First's team of Speech Pathologists offer support to children from as young as 18 months of age. Our experienced therapists work in schools supporting students and teachers. They also offer small group programs that support children's social language
Social Skills and Self Esteem Support
Children who struggle to be socially and emotionally resilient are supported as they learn at Kids First. Small group programs for children aged 5-7, 8-10 and 11-13 provide guidance and practical strategies to support kids and familiesthrough the challenges of growing up. Individual support is also offered. Families with special needs children are welcome.
Counselling

Cancellation Policy
Kids First’s busy health professionals maintain full schedules. Advance notice of appointments that your child will miss enables us to offer that appointment to another child who may have been on our waiting list for some time. Like most other health practices, Kids First charges a cancellation fee for missed appointments where you provide less than 24 hours notice.
